Wo findet man Ruhe in einer Stadt die nie
schläft?
Damit die Grossstadt New York nicht zur Reizüberforderung wird, muss die Informationsflut von Ruhe durchbrochen werden. Den

In 1977 Indira Gandhi was defeated in the elections under the motto "democracy and dictatorship" claimed by the newly created Janata alliance. So ended the first long term oft he first female Prime Minister of India. She had been governing the most populated democracy of the world by decree. She came back to power before she was assassinated in 1984.
The same year I spend a quasi epical time in India, mainly in Delhi. As 5-year-old boy everything was impressive and many things I remember where rather scary. Until long time after I never got the point why my genitrice took me in this country, far away and so mysterious. Looking back there are some explanations, why she went there visiting her best friend who was then married to a French nuclear physician. India had tested a so called peaceful nuclear bomb in 1974 and France was the only European country helping out the Indian Nation with plutonium. There was a market to take over from the anglo-saxons and so did the French.see the interesting paper here (https://casi.sas.upenn.edu/iit/jayitasarkar)
I remember a few things: Not liking the European environment I was put in while my genitrice was travelling around the country – loving to stay with the indian gardener at the end of the residence park in his small hut where he baked fresh bred for me – some indian children looking at my blond hair and trying to make contact with me, specially girls – the lights and colours in small streets and what I called comics – mostly illustrated sacred books for a juvenile public. I remember being completely fascinated by the figures – immense men, I was horrified by the violence – cut off heads. But lost myself in an incomprehensive environment I escaped into the stories of these strips and felt appeased. The only souvenir I carried home to Europe – besides few pictures – where 5 strips.
In 1978 my genitors spilt apart again and I was thrown on the road again. The strips – only important to me – were thrown away and I only kept some images of monstrous men and strange blue skinned heroes deeply enclosed in my conscience.
40 years later – 2017 - both of my sons travelled to india with their mother. And I got a present, which does not make me younger but indeed let’s the monstrous big men appear different.
